Bu başarı, 2008 yılında piyasaya sürülen bir ara-devam oyunu olan Lost Planet: Extreme Condition ile perçinlenmişti. Esasen Lost Planet: Extreme Condition çeşitli oynanış zorlukları başta olmak üzere, bazı eksiklikleri nedeniyle PST‘den öyle çok yüksek bir not alamamış, yine de kayda değer bir oyun olarak değerlendirilmişti.
